The official website of the municipality provides information about the activities of the municipality and local government, publishes information and documents, and provides information and services to residents and the public.

The municipality performs local self-government and provides tasks and services for its residents in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic.

The main areas of municipal competence include:

• management of municipal property,
• municipal budget and final account,
• local taxes and local fees,
• local roads and public spaces,
• municipal waste management,
• territorial development,
• environmental protection,
• public order,
• culture, sport and municipal facilities,
• social assistance and other services for residents.

The basic competences of municipalities are regulated by Act No. 369/1990 Coll. on Municipal Establishment, as amended. Other municipal responsibilities are regulated by specific legislation.
